Every cake has its own story. This baby shower cake was made for an expectant mother who happens to be due on 1-11-11 with a dad-to-be who happens to be a pilot. The design elements of this cake were inspired by the handmade invitation made for the parents-to-be. Inside this cute cake is our famous red velvet cake and cream cheese filling. Truly a vibrant cake, inside and out.

Wildflower Wedding:

This beautiful handcrafted wildflower cake was beautiful on the outside, and filled with everything delicious on the inside. Starting with the handcrafted sugar wildflowers to the tone on tone on the to layer, and the quilting on the bottom layer, this cake was exquisite.

Each layer had it's own surprise:

Start with yellow chiffon and then fill it with passionfruit mousse and fresh raspberries. Then you travel down to the yellow chiffon with pabana mousse (passionfruit, mango, banana) and fresh blackberries. Lastly is the yellow chiffon with pink guava mousse and fresh strawberries.

It takes time, creativity, a steady hand, a lot of patience and a knack for fine details to create lifelike flowers out of sugar. Cherrie spends hours studying flowers, and all of their unique nuances before she sits down to create just one.
